Who I am
There are a few things that I know--sometimes it doesn't seem like much and other days I am overwhelmed with information flowing out of my head.
On most days when I am informative, I write articles. I love to freelance my writing services and write on a plethora of subjects. I work for various businesses writing SEO and keyword content on everything from Adirondack chairs to insurance, to health and mortgages. I really have covered all the bases with writing and I've written some really weird stuff.
One of the places I work for has an Ehow.com contract where we write stuff for Ehow. Those articles are fun, especially some of the topics we've been recently writing about--very juicy topics on sexual positions and toys. Of course, we wrote drivel about how to set your alarm on a specific type of CD player as well, but it certainly paved the way for the better topics.
One of my most favorite things to write about is insurance. I understand insurance, the ins and outs, how it works and why it's so important for everyone to have. I'm not an insurance agent or broker, however my boyfriend is. I grew up around insurance as well--my aunt was an agent since I was a kid, still is and is now a broker running her own office far away from home.
Other things I enjoy writing about (mostly because I understand them) are credit cards and mortgages. These are easy topics to write about and you can sling the information in a variety of ways, although working on my umpteenth mortgage article this week is starting to prove a little boring.
The places I freelance for are great and keep me quite busy with work, so much so that they are my only source of income for the time being. I used to work as a reporter for our weekly newspaper--cool job, crappy pay, which is really unfortunate, because I could have done that forever. I actually miss it...but, to all things there is a silver lining--we're opening a restaurant that I will manage and run. Boyfriend has experience in that as well so he will teach me the ropes (hopefully so I won't hang myself with them) and leave me with running the new restaurant. (Now if only we could think of a name...) Soon, this will all be done and we will be open and ready for business.
From this blog you can expect entries on insurance, just to keep my mind fresh on the subject, especially if something new and interesting comes about...articles or notations on mortgages and credit cards as well and various other tidbits of seemingly useless and frivolous information that you will find absolutely riveting. I should warn you--I have a whole raft of kids--so, there's probably going to be something about them around here as well...
